Located in southwest Austin, StoredIQ is a fast growing, dynamic technology company that seeks to hire a UI Architect / Developer to join our collaborative development team. In this role, you will develop robust application interfaces based on the designs that fulfill the documented requirements as well as optimizing the performance, scalability, reliability and overall user experience. This is a highly technical position that requires strong object oriented programming skills, and is not a designer/graphics position.

Requirements:

• Experience developing user interfaces for an MVC architecture for enterprise level solutions
  
• Possess a strong foundation and understanding in areas of computer science such as algorithms, OOP, design patterns, etc.
  
• Strong hands on skills in JavaScript,HTML, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript and the latest UI scripting tools
  
• You understand why it is important to separate structure from presentation from behavior
  Experience developing UI widgets from scratch in an established framework
  
• Experience in cross-browser compatibility exercises (primarily IE7+ and Firefox3+)
  
• Ability to work with high-level object oriented languages such as Python, Java, C++ and/or Ruby (our applications are developed in a Python/Django/Linux/Postgres environment)
  
• Familiar with interacting with databases through languages such as SQL
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Develop client side object oriented JavaScript application using HTML5 and CSS3 (yes, the good stuff that you’ve always wanted to work with)
  
• Assisting with user experience project requirements for new features and applications
  
• Understanding wire-frames and user-experience design and transforming them into functional requirements
  
• Designing and developing UI widgets from scratch
  
• Developing a User Experience that is feature-rich, yet easy-to-use
  
• Working with other engineers in an Agile development process
  
• Working with a QA team to ensure the final product is complete and within company standards
  
• Providing weekly activity reports to the management team
